Timothy and the Box-like Dragon

Just had to share this AMAZING photograph of Timothy, the son of Susan Whelan from Reading Upside Down and a Feature Writer for World Literatures at Suite 101.

This talented young man constructed this enormous project during Book Week last August (2009) in honour of the dragon from Riley and the Sleeping Dragon. Can you believe how good this is? And the colour is exactly right!!

I was so breathtaken by this effort - how more blissful could it be for any author than to see kids recreating their characters, especially with such detail. I am so honoured.

A book lover and the ability to construct amazing things... you're going to be a perfect man, Timothy! Keep building!
