The Junior Judges Project is a wonderful way for children to become more deeply engaged in the book world - by having the chance to vote for their favourite books in the CBCA's Book of the Year lineup.
Not only is this an invaluable way for adult book lovers (and publishers and sellers!) to ascertain what kids enjoy - it also (and most importantly) gives children a voice and allows them to critique and think about books in a whole different light.
If you are a teacher or librarian and want to get involved, head to the Junior Judges Project website. Voting opened on 6 August so it's not too late to jump in - or get involved in 2011.
