Review: Where is Strawberry Moshi?

It's easy to become enraptured by the fluorescently magnificent and totally kitsch aesthetics of Japanese pop culture, which, due to its lurid colour and über cuteness, translates so frequently to children's toys, clothing, accessories and... books.

MoshiMoshiKawaii's Where is Strawberry Moshi is one such book that is so visually resplendant, it gets the pulse racing (and the mind turning - curiously - to fairyfloss). These new books from Walker Books are more, however, than mere sugary fluff. They take kids on a gorgeous romp through cute that even older kids will love.
In the style of I Spy, little strawberry Moshi the bunny needs to choose her outfit for the day. With a style example in the box at the bottom of the page, she must match this look to a compete wardrobe of fantastical ensembles, looking for just the right strawberry frock. Easy enough? Enter page two.

Here is where we become totally bunnyfied with the introduction of Mushroom Forest and a plethora of cute including pigs, hamsters, pandas, dogs, cats and bumble bees (all with that curious bunny look about them). Can you find Strawberry Moshi and her sweetheart Super Moshi? And what other be-bunnied animals can you find?

We also travel under water, through Delicious-Land, into Castle Carrot, through a stadium and busy café, and kids will also have fun with two big mazes for their seeking pleasure.

Where is Strawberry Princess Moshi is similarly resplendent with colour and super cute illustrations... an eye fest featuring parties, a ball, cake shops, a cave, even a wedding! There's also some mazes shape matching for extra fun.

Much more than a glorified activity book, it's tempting to offer kids an erasable pencil to sort through these truly gorgeous, virtually collectible books...
