We just had to publish the winning entries from the fabulous Steve Parish Book Giveaway competition we ran recently on Kids Book Review. Concerned with the environment, this is what several kids and parents said (quite tear-jerking!):
Winners...
Jaymz Harvey, 4.5 years, with the entry: "We need to look after wildlife otherwise it will die and all the colours will disappear from the Earth."
Brett Murray, 9 years, with the entry: "If we don't look after nature then nature won't look after us. We are part of nature and it is our job to care for it."
Jenny Tiffen, 31 years, with the entry: "Because we all deserve somewhere comfortable to live and raise our families - especially if the kids are furry, scaly or slimy."
Runners up:
Abby Tankard, 5 years, with the entry: " I love animals and we need to keep them alive for other kids and me to love."
Chloe Marks, 10 years, with the entry: "Because the animals have a life, like us, and we need to protect all life!"
Thanks to everyone who entered! So glorious to see our kids care so deeply about our environment. Head to the Steve Parish website for more info on their fab books.
