Review: I Love My Baby Brother and I Love My Baby Sister

Could there possibly be anything more comforting to a child who has recently become an older sibling, than the character of Ollie? I think not.

Anna Walker's illustrations are soft and soothing, all pastels and whimsy, making you wish you could pick Ollie up and give him a big hug.

These images perfectly complement the text - simple, yet ringing so true for the concerns of a young child whose life has just been turned upside down. "Mum is busy. I have nothing to do."

Pretty soon, though, Ollie realises how much fun he can have with a baby, making him/her giggle and taking the bub on pretend train rides.

Each of these two stories is different, but very similar in tone and storyline.

And both are delightful. Just gorgeous.
