Tania's Picks: Where's Walrus?

The zoo keeper is napping. The zoo gates are open. Cheeky Walrus has escape on his mind.

As Walrus slips through the zoo gates, the zoo keeper leaps from his chair and starts on a walrusy hunt, to return his friend to the zoo.

This is a truly stunning picture book. The retro-infused illustrations and colour underpinning a very simple storyline are charm personified. Our friend the winking walrus is a delight to behold as he morphs into fountain statues, artists in the park, even lady mannequins in the shop window.

A wordless, modern classic.
