Grandma Mary is coming to live with Sarah. She has a funny condition called Alzheimer's and Sarah helps look after Grandma and help her remember objects. Then, one day, Grandma disappears. Sarah needs help from her special fairy doll - and fast. Interspersed with occasional interactivity in the form of short games, animated visuals and sound effects, this story enlightens kids on this all-too-common disease.
The app also provides technical information on Alzheimer's, which can be accessed through the story, and explains, in a kid-friendly way, the neuron breakdown in the brains of sufferers. A questionnaire, memory game and the ability to add your child's face to the story are also included.
Quirky images are gorgeously done, but the typography could be better laid out. The narration features an English accent and there are options to change language.
