Review: These are My Feet/These are My Hands

Judy Horacek knows how to make a cracking picture book. With her latest release from the National Library of Australia, you get two of Judy's books in one. Read These are My Feet and then flip the book over to enjoy These are My Hands. That's flipping great! <--- excuse the most terrible pun ... I couldn't resist!

The two books are about exploring, self discovery, self awareness and seeing just what it is that our bodies can do.

Written in simple rhymes that absolutely demand be read aloud they are beautifully complimented by Judy's bright and bold illustrations. Honestly, Judy's artwork is like a fluffy blanket or your favourite soft pair of slippers, you are immediately warmed by them.

The possibilities for interaction with this book between reader and child are endless. What else can your hands do? Mine, if given the chance, would high five Judy Horacek. Absolutely LOVE her work.

Have you seen Judy's spectacular illustrations in Where is the Green Sheep?

If you still want more, check out the fabulous The Story of Growl.
