ebook Review: The Jungle Book
Mowgli, Baloo, Bagheera, Shere Khan and this classic cast of characters are back in this beautifully-illustrated ebook version. Professionally narrated, with gentle (ie: not irritating) background music, abridged text is presented at the bottom of each page as block text.
Sound effects are well done and variant voices are a delight. Interactivity is low to medium, with an average of three or four tappable elements (mainly bouncing or scurrying) per page.
Younger kids will enjoy tapping while parents read this classic tale (there is an option to mute narration) or kids can listen along or read themselves.
The story is also available in German.
The Jungle Book is produced by Goodbeans and is available on iTunes.
