The Reading Hour - join in the fun!

The National Year of Reading has been a formidable force in the fight against illiteracy and very soon, a major, nation-wide event - The Reading Hour - will occur. On Saturday 25 August, from 6pm to 7pm, we invite you to pick up a book.

You can read alone.

You can read with a friend.

You can (please) read with your children.

If you can dedicate the entire hour - fantastic. If you only have 10 minutes, that's also good.

If you want to, you can even hunt down a special Reading Hour event - see the NYR12 website events calendar for more.

To celebrate The Reading Hour, KBR has a very special online event. Every day, sometimes several times a day, we will be posting photos of ourselves reading a book on the KBR website and on our facebook page. You will also have a chance to post your own pictures of yourself or your kids or your class, reading a book.

We will choose our favourite photos each day and post them on the KBR website.

On Saturday 25 August, we will award some prizes . . . our three favourite photos will win a book and our most prolific photo poster will win a stack of brand new books to the value of over $100! That's right.

Head to our facebook page now for this wonderful chance to win* - and most importantly - for this chance to show us what an amazingly readerly bunch our KBR friends are!

*Competition is open to Australian residents only.
