Review: No, We are Not F*!#ing There Yet

WARNING: NOT PG!

Forget Go the F*#! to Sleep. We don't need to guffaw over mind-bending bedtime antics alone. What we want is the full parenting wrap - and No, We are Not F*#!ing There Yet gives us just that.

Inspired by Adam Mansbach breakthrough book and subtitled 'and other universal truths of parenting', mums and dads and grandparents and carers everywhere will fully appreciate this tongue-in-cheek look at the travails of life with young children.

Set to a series of 'nursery rhymes', parents can delight in such entries as 'Power Spew', 'Push the Shopping Trolley' {and mummy's buttons}, 'Changing Baby' and 'This is the Dinner Mummy Made' {and you can imagine where it ends up}.

Dry, truly funny rhymes are backed up with priceless and beautiful artwork, reminiscent of children's books of the 1940s and '50s. The power-grumble faces, the innocence, the 'I-Didn't-Do-It' looks, the tantrums - they're all here and they are GOOD.

Exhausted parents unite. We may all share a mutual adoration for our children and a deep and abiding love, but we can also share a glass of red and an outward guffaw, especially during this stressful but deliriously wonderful time of year. Hey - that last phrase sounded like parenthood in general, non?
