Review: Definitely No Ducks!

Noah and Abby are back in this sequel to CBCA Shortlisted Book Duck for a Day by the talented Meg McKinlay.

Max the Duck is a gorgeous little fellow who wanders around like a regular student and lovingly sits on the shoes of the kids in Mrs Melvino's class. But when Max is blamed for an unfortunate 'accident' - ie: the tearing apart of the children's Antarctica display for their big end-of-term assembly, well - Max's fortunes at the class duck quickly change.

Complete with dastardly Mr Oswald, who clearly has it in for Max, this comedy of errors story will keep even the most reluctant reader engaged, as Noah and Abby go about proving Max's innocence.

Can a duck with no teeth really rip and tear a display? And what of Melanie's pet Chihuahua of the glittering teeth?

Leila Rudge's gorgeous pencil illustrations beautifully round out another fabulously fun tale from the talented McKinlay.
