Review: A Royal Fairytale

Way back, in April 2011, I was contacted by the lovely Jo Rivard of Ink Robin, a company specialising in fabulous ebooks for kids. They had just released their first picture book for iPad, entitled Will and Kate (see our review here).

I absolutely loved this ebook, and Ink Robin have gone on to produce several sensational follow-up stories, including Leonard (review), Piccadilly's Circus (review) and The Hippo, The Rhino, The Elephant and Me (review).

You can tell from these reviews, that I--erm--kind of love everything Ink Robin is producing.

A Royal Fairytale is the company's very first hard copy book, released just in time for the arrival of a real-life royal poppet. And does it live up to the divine Ink Robin Experience?

Yes. yes, it does.

A Royal Fairytale is essentially an expansion of Will and Kate, in paper form, and follows the marriage of Will and Kate--with an added baby bonus. And no, I don't mean that handout from the government. I mean a beautiful, fairytale-indeed-addition to the real life Kate and Wills love story that has so enchanted the world.

This is a beautifully-produced book with divine illustrations, much wit, humour and enormous crossover appeal. Be sure to check out the original Will and Kate ebook, too, as some of its pages have been removed to make way for the new arrival, and you won't want to miss them.

Congratulations, Will and Kate, on the birth of your beautiful baby boy--and congratulations Ink Robin! You've given birth to yet another regal production.
