International Dot Day 2013

In honour of International Dot Day, celebrated on 15 September every year, KBR would like to highlight the work of Peter Reynolds, author and illustrator extraordinaire and the inspiration behind Dot Day, which has the wonderful aim of inspiring every child to make their mark. To find out more about Dot Day, visit the website.

With so many glorious titles to choose from, it's hard to pick just a couple, but here are one or two of the favourite Peter Reynolds titles on our bookshelves.

The Dot, Ish and Sky Color are now available in a glorious boxed set called Creatrilogy. These delightfully whimsical titles celebrate the power of original thinking, encouraging us all to just 'have a go' and see where our inspiration leads us.

Creatrilogy, Candlewick Press, $49.95 RRP

Another classic is Rose's Garden. The story of Rose, who decides to put down roots in a bustling city after travelling the world in her fantastic teapot, this is an inspiring fable about community spirit and the power of nature, beauty and faith.

Rose's Garden, Walker Books, $15.95 RRP
