Review: The Hair Ball

Hair is everywhere in the town of Perkin. But what can be done with it all? Betty Colletti the hairdresser is the only employed person in town.

The Mayor’s wife Jane appears with clothing she’s made of hair plus matching accessories. Her ingenious creative line called ‘Hair Wear’ soon makes her a mint.  Inspired by this, the town realizes there are countless innovative uses for their abundance of hair.

The poor town of Perkin is transformed into a thriving metropolis due to their useful hair production and the Mayor’s gala Hair Ball is planned to showcase their inventiveness to the world with extraordinary results.

Highly entertaining with a strong message on how imagination can work miracles, this funny and clever story in rhyming verse is visually depicted in illustrations of a unique style by award-winning illustrator, Nathaniel Eckstron.

Spider Lee believes that learning should be fun, and this belief is perfectly presented through this excellent production, complemented beautifully by the artwork.
