Review: This Rabbit, That Rabbit

This Rabbit, That Rabbit is part of the Baby Walker series of books, and a board book that would be a good choice for littlies who love Where Is The Green Sheep? Straightforward, it delivers what it says on the cover: simple word play and simple shapes.

Inside you’ll find the two rabbits, one green and one orange, in various rhyming situations. Each double-page spread provides illustrations like fat rabbit and flat rabbit, or blue rabbit (wearing a blue coat) and shoe rabbit (wearing blue shoes).

Some concepts are perhaps a little more suited to an older age group - trendy rabbit and bendy rabbit, for example - but all introduce new words and should prove fun in aiding language development. I particularly enjoyed the final humorous illustration.

This Rabbit, That Rabbit comes with lightly tactile “shiny touch” illustrations where you can run your fingers over the rabbits and feel the slightly raised, glossy image, just right for a young child to explore and connect with the characters as well as the words.
