Review: Lamby Lamb

Every parent knows that reverse psychology is a valuable tool when it comes to persuading a child to do something. And in this delightful picture book for the very young, award-winning illustrator Chris Raschka proves just how effective it can be!

It's time for Lamby Lamb to go out, but will he get ready? Well, first he's told 'Don't get dressed.' So off he trots to his chest of drawers.

Then he's told 'Don't put on your shirt.' So, of course, he's got it on before you can blink.

And so the story continues … until finally a very smart-looking Lamby Lamb is dressed and ready to go out in no time at all!

With over sixty books for children under his belt, Chris Raschka was the US nominee for the international Hans Christian Andersen Medal in 2012, and has won the Caldecott Medal twice with his books A Ball for Daisy and The Hello, Goodbye Window. His enchanting illustrative style and wry, gentle humour are once again evident in this very clever little book. And the best news of all is that it's part of a new series! Other titles now available are Crabby Crab, Whaley Whale and Cowy Cow.

The perfect gift for any toddler.
