Review: You and Me

My favourite word is 'serendipity'. One of my favourite illustrators is Peter Reynolds. So, You and Me was always going to delight me!

This is a gorgeous exploration of friendship and how a chance meeting can be the start of a relationship that lasts a lifetime. As one of the main characters muses: 'If that day had chosen a different way to unfold, ours is a story that might not have been told.'

Children will love Peter Reynolds' quirkily cute illustrations, and will enjoy the rhyming text by Susan Verde. Adults will appreciate the profundity of the book's message: we all have special people in our lives and sometimes we would do well to remember how lucky we are to have met them.
