Review: Click, Clack, Peep!

Click, Clack, Peep! is a new book from the creators of Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type. It’s the story of an egg that hatches and the baby duck that joins the other animals in the barn - cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, and a grown up duck.

Baby duck is rather active, laughing and playing, and keeps all the other animals awake with his continuous ‘Peep, peep, peep’. The animals try everything - singing a lullaby, lowering the shades, and knitting a cosy blanket - but eventually they have to resort to escaping outside.

Meanwhile, grown up duck tries something a little bit different. He puts baby duck into a bucket and heads for the tractor. Will his strategy to give everyone on the farm a good night’s sleep work?

This is a fun story with plenty of opportunities for young children to join in with the various animal sounds.
