Review: Me and Moo

I love this book!

That is all.

No, but seriously--what a fun and cleverly-constructed story, with a lovely first-person narrative about a wee man and his pet cow. A cow that becomes a weeee bit problematic. Mostly for Mum.

But things have a way of working out, and Mum soon relaxes as Moo becomes an increasingly large part of the family.

I love the author voice in this story and the delightful character development that kids will also love and resonate with. Plenty of action and a fun ending make it a beautifully-rounded and well-produced book.

Nathaniel Eckstrom's gorgeous illustrations combine truly beautiful textures and colours with plenty of comic 'timing'. This guy knows what he's doing and I'm looking forward to more from him.

Will there be a Me and Moo Two Too? Please?
