Review: The Worm Who Knew Karate!

Brian the worm has an idyllic life in his window box. Not much to worry about. No concerns.

Until.

That poster. The one put up across the street from his window box. The one that mentions something about some early bird catching the worm.

Such a harmless adage to you and me, but one that strikes intense fear in our little squirmy friend.

Brian wasn't interested in becoming someone's breakfast. And he couldn't spend life on the run. There was only one thing to do: become a black belt in karate. Of course.

Karate is hard for a creature with no arms and legs. Very hard indeed. Can Brian master this ancient art and turn his fate around? Or is courage simply a state of mind?

Funny and original--this is a brilliant book to read aloud to kids. The images of Brian attempting to karate chop are hilarious--pure Terry Denton at his best. Great fun for both kids and adults.
