What do you wish for your most beloved one?
You might wish them more ups than downs. More give than take. More hugs than ughs.
You might wish them more will than hill. More pause than fast-forward, more umbrella than rain.
You might even wish them more treasure than pockets.
In this sweet little gift-style book, we meet a collection of children performing loving wishes for their friends--endearing little concepts that will warm any grandmother's heart.
This book is a slight departure from the usual Amy Krouse Rosenthal book that I so adore. It's more traditional in style, including the illustrations, and seems (to me) to be geared more towards parents (and grandma!) than kids.
While I believe kids will absolutely receive some heartfelt messaging from its words (words so creatively penned), this sweet creation comes across more like a gift book that would make a lovely present for a new born baby.
