Review: The Pencil

When a little girl finds a piece of string on the ground, we assume something will be tied to its end.

Not so.

As the pages scoot by, the piece of 'string' becomes something more--a line that transforms itself into myriad objects--a slide, a wheel, bubbles, monkey bars, a creepy monster ...

Lucky the line likes the girl and quickly transforms itself into a friend!

This is a highly imaginative, wordless story that will enchant babies and toddlers with its cleverness and emotive responses by the main character.

Its white pages and simple line drawings make it modern and high-contrast ... perfect for little eyes.

Adorable.
