Junior Review: Marshmallow Skye

Marshmallow Skye is a moving novel that is wonderfully written. The book has an enthralling plot that is sure to delight many readers and I absolutely LOVE this story!

Basically, the main character Skye adores old things and she is over the moon when her mum allows her to have some old clothes that once belonged to her ancestor.

But every time she falls asleep wearing the clothes, she has realistic dreams about her ancestor’s past, as if she is reliving her story. While she tries to solve this strange mystery she must also unravel the knots in her life - feeling as if she is constantly living under her glamorous twin sister’s shadow.

The way the author has written this moving book is incredible and I felt myself empathizing with Skye as the story unfolded. I really enjoyed the plot and how everything that happens is connected, so that every event has a reason for happening. Also, I loved how the characters were built up, with their different interests portraying their personalities perfectly. I thought this book was amazing and I would definitely recommend reading it ASAP!
