Review: Where's Mr Lion

Where’s Mr Lion? is a hide-and-seek story for babies and toddlers. Young children will enjoy lifting the brightly coloured felt flaps in this book. Littlies love stories about animals and babies, this book delivers both.

There are four savannah or zoo animals to find, plus a mirror on the final page so the child becomes part of the story.

This is a sturdy, simple book. It has beautiful, retro style illustrations, reminiscent of a Miffy book by Dick Bruna.  The illustrations include a few extra animals on each page.

Parents if your child has a long attention span then the illustrations will allow you the opportunity for a longer reading experience by asking questions about the pictures e.g. Where’s the butterfly? Where’s the orange tree? Can you find another orange tree?  Can you find the tortoise that has blue and purple checks on their shell?

The Swedish illustrator, Ingela  Arhenius has created other books in this series including Where’s Mrs Ladybird, released in January 2017 and two more books Where’s Mrs Hen and Where’s Mrs Owl will be added to this series in June 2017.
