The colouring Book of Cards and Envelopes: Fabulous Flowers & Perfect Patterns is a fabulously fun collection of cardboard cards and envelopes to colour in and create.
The black and white illustrations are intricate and detailed, and illustrator Rachel Cloyne has used artefacts from the British museum to inspire their creation.
There’s space on the cards to write your messages and a dedicated section on the back to sign your artwork. The delicately decorated envelopes fold lovingly around the cards, and there are 24 colourful stickers to seal everything in place.
The instructions are simple and easy to follow (three steps for the cards and five steps for the envelopes), and perforated, pre-folded and pre-cut lines make the book very kid-friendly.
And I loved the ‘Index of Inspiration’ at the back of the book. Each British Museum artefact Cloyne has used to create the cards and envelopes is pictured in full colour with a description of what they are and where they come from.
A marvellous activity book that not only provides hours of fun but also 24 handy gift cards for that next special occasion, this is a great book to have at home for you and the kids.
And if flowers and detailed patterns don’t take your fancy, there are six other books in the series to choose from, including: Amazing Animals and Beautiful Birds, Christmas, Flowers and Butterflies, Nature, Summertime and A Year of Celebrations.
