Review: What's Next Door?

Ohh a peep window in the front cover! This promises that the book should be lots of fun and interactive. What's Next Door? by Nicola O'Byrne lives up to my expectations.

The first page is dark and I can only see an outline of a large animal with glowing yellow eyes '...clap your hands to turn on the light!'

Oh it's a crocodile named Carter who needs help to get him home.

I'm committed to help him as my finger traces doors onto pages, as I tip the book left and right to get his big body though the doorway, as I blow on Cater to make him dry or as I shake the book to keep him warm.

This book is so interactive that it will have children and adults wanting to hold the book and follow the narrator's directions, assisting Carter in getting home. But before he finds the prefect home Carter has to travel though lots of doors to many different places.

Come for an adventure though the doorways with Carter to an ocean, a snowy location and sweltering hot dessert. I wonder what Carter's perfect home will look like?
