Review: Amelia Chamelia and the Birthday Party (Book #1)

Amelia Chamelia is about to turn eight and she’s throwing a ‘Once Upon a Time’ birthday party to celebrate.

She’s planned everything perfectly, and she’s determined to make it the best party ever (even with her naughty cousins on the invite list).

But there’s one thing Amelia did not anticipate.

Magic.

Just before the party, Amelia discovers she has an incredible magical power.

The problem is, she doesn’t quite know how to control it, or even if it’s real (maybe she imagined it?).

But when everyone arrives at the party, and Amelia’s cousins start getting up to mischief, Amelia discovers just how real and useful her new power is.

The Birthday Party is the first book in a brand new series by Australian author Laura Sieveking. It’s a lovely fresh story filled with unexpected surprises, and it’s sure to be adored by junior readers.

It’s also a great book for readers just starting out, with illustrations by Alyssa Bermudez dotted throughout and large text that’s easy to read.

Fun and fresh, this is the start of a fantastic and magical series.
