Giveaway: The Book of Stone

Every stone has its own unique story – and everybody needs a story stone and a book to collect it in!

Together Mark Greenwood and illustrator, Coral Tulloch, have created a book that allows them to share the theme of geological wonder, solitude, special memories and places through stone. 

The Book of Stone will encourage children to play outside and explore, look at the stars, feel the heat of the sun, sit, stare and contemplate nature. The layers of thought and emotion, captured in Coral’s imaginative illustrations, will encourage kids to connect with nature on an individual level by finding stones weathered by time, with curious shapes and colours, polished smooth by wind and water.

To celebrate the release of this amazing new picture book by Mark Greenwood and Coral Tulloch, the wonderful people at Walker Books Australia have not one but FIVE prize packs to give away! Each pack consists of a copy of the book plus a superb rock box collection of gorgeous gemstones to enhance your life.

Mark Greenwood has collected stones of all shapes and sizes since he was a kid and now he wants to share his passion in a book that explains the special connection that can be enjoyed when one pays attention to the stones that are all around us and can mean so much, if we take the time to appreciate them.

Email your answer along with your name and postal address to dimity. The five responses we like best will each win a book prize and rock box collection. Competition is open to anyone, worldwide, so long as they have an Australian postal address for delivery of the books. Please note, we cannot deliver to PO Boxes. Entries without a name and street address will be ineligible. Winners will be announced right here on our website on 25 November 2019.

Competition runs from 5 pm 16 November 2019 to 5 pm 23 November 2019. Adults can enter for those aged 17 and under. This is a game of skill, not chance. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
