Review: In My Dreams

Close your eyes and come on a dreamy journey on marshmallow clouds, through strawberry rain and down to the ocean floor. Fly on a dragon to faraway lands, hunt for treasures and make mischief with monkeys.

In My Dreams by author Stef Gemmill is a beautiful picture book about the endless possibilities of your imagination. As a child sleeps in the quiet night, they explore the magic of dreaming and all the things that bring joy and happiness.

It’s a simple and delightful story for bedtime snuggles. It will bring warmth to hearts and smiles to faces. It will spark imagination in little minds.

And then there are the stunning illustrations by Tanja Stephani. The most gorgeous combination of greens and purples and blues star throughout the book. There are pages of vibrant pinks and oranges and others I can only describe as rainbow magnificence.

But they are very kid. They are cute and funky and filled with humour. Animals show the grandest expressions and dance and sing throughout. Fruits come alive and the moon becomes a chair to watch the universe.

If you’re looking for a picture book that's all about love, smiles and possibilities, this one is for you. It’s a hug in paper form, and the perfect book to cuddle up with and share with your little ones.
