Review: Poopy Pants and Potty Rants

AFL star Dale ‘Daisy’ Thomas has created a hilarious story about toilet training. All parents can relate to the trials and tantrums of trying to encourage toddlers to use the toilet.

This cheeky and energetic look at the difficulties of toilet training celebrates fatherhood and the special relationship that often exists between daughters and their fathers.

Rhyming helpful tips are scattered throughout the book 'ping pong ball something to aim for' will be heard throughout bathrooms around the country. Along with praise, rewards and lots of laughs and tears.

Illustrator Alison Mutton has captured the obstinate facial expression and stance that a child gets when they refuse to do something, as well as the joy and happiness of achievement.

One favourite illustration is the little girl sitting on the toilet, amid a giant tangle of toilet paper! Parents beware!

It is a great book to real aloud and a fun way to communicate with your toddler about being a big kid who uses the toilet and no longer needs their nappy changed.

Success can be measured when they do a wee you are almost there . . .hopefully?

This family affair celebrates the achievement and education that goes into reaching the goals. It gives the reader a heart-warming insight into the relationship the author has with his little girl Tilly.
