Junior Review: Young Shadow

If you enjoy graphic novels with awesome sci-if adventures and a kind superhero, then Young Shadow by Author Ben Sears is the book for you.

Young Shadow lives in Bolt City, where he mainly helps by making food bank donations and saving stray pets. One day while doing his daily night surveillance, he finds the Sludge Team, a group of conspirators.

Young Shadow finds a key, which he thinks nothing of, until he learns that Sludge Team is after it. Even though Young Shadow could take Sludge Team out, it’s always good to have a little bit of help, which he gets with his partner Spiral Scratch.

This graphic novel is a daily dose of adventure. The illustrations in yellow and black are perfect and add to the secrecy in the novel.

The main character, Young Shadow, is kind, caring, and a town superhero in so many ways.

I have never come across a super-hero who rescues puppies. Being a huge animal lover myself, I thought he is the perfect person to look up to.

I hope there is a sequel and I am wishing Young Shadow will soon love books as much as his readers do.

I hope you have the chance to see if Young Shadow saves the day!
