Honour Among Ghosts is a fast-paced and action-packed middle-grade adventure. There’s twists and turns throughout the story, with the mystery building layer by layer until a big reveal that I didn’t see coming one little bit. Oh so satisfying!
The range of characters in the novel is deliciously wide. Good, bad, kind, grumpy, loyal, quirky and misunderstood. There are many times when you’ll see both the good and bad in a character, which is a wonderful and thought-provoking reflection on reality.
I also adore the world Williams has brought to life. It’s a world close to ours, but not quite. There is magic here, and it’s wondrous.

Other than this connection, the books are stand-alones. The characters are different and the stories don’t overlap. But it’s such a magical thing. Williams has created a whole world and he continues to explore different aspects of it through his work.
