Each double-page spread features a different European country and highlights several activities or items related to the country.
Amongst the place Hunter visits are Scotland with its fluffy cows and puffins, fairytales and gingerbread in Germany, and Iceland where there's a beach of black sand, glaciers and waterfalls.
Hunter travels to eleven different countries before returning home, where she dreams of more adventures. The text is told in rhyme and reading aloud is recommended.
Illustrations are by Ashlee Spink. They're colourful and appealing, with plenty of details for children to discover at each destination.
Hunter on Holiday makes a great armchair trip for family story time, rather like reading and enjoying a series of postcards.
