Junior Review: Secret Factopia!

Factopia!
is back again, and this one is all about secrets! This book is filled with lots of interesting secret facts. The ones you wouldn’t get in most non-fiction books.

Facts like…

During the Air Guitar world championships in Finland, contestants rock out on instruments that don’t actually exist.

And...

Some companies make underwear with secret pockets that can be used to hide things.

And...

Since the 1950s’ government map makers in Switzerland have hidden tiny drawings in official maps.

This book tells you things you wouldn’t know, or even imagine, are real. It takes you behind the scenes and shares information about secret, hidden facts that will blow your mind. With a HUGE contents at the start, with over 80 topics to work your way through, Secret Factopia! will keep you entertained for hours.

There’s an index at the back which tells you what you’ll find on each page, so you can look up something that interests you and see where to learn more.

I like the illustrations. They’re a mix between drawings and real-life pictures and sometimes a mix of both. Lots of dotted lines link facts across the pages, making information easy to follow and read.

I recommend this book for kids aged 8+ who like to hear about things that most non-fiction books don’t have.
