(enjoy every literary moment)
We love guest posters on KBR! and welcome them from all over the world on any number of children's book-related topics. We are fortunate to have some really special posts from authors, illustrators, publishers and literary specialists - but also everyday mums or dads with a passion for books.
Articles must be well-written, entertaining and have a literary, literacy or education focus, ideally between 400 and 800 words. They should be thoroughly edited and proofread - we regret we are not in a position to edit nor proofread on your behalf. Posts needing editing or those that don't fit our guidelines, will not be considered.
Also, the article must not overtly sell something - it must enlighten, educate or entertain our readers in some way, ie: it cannot be a direct book plug. Yes, you can link to your website or blog and yes you can talk of your new book or children's literature- or literacy-related site or business, but this must be neatly tied in with the theme of the article, or done as an addendum at the end of the piece.
Simply email us your guest post with pictures (as attached jpegs, between 50KB and 2MB). All guest posts must include at least two pictures, whether they be book covers, an author photo or article-related picture (with source, if you don't hold copyright).
We will read through your post. If you do not hear from us within a few weeks, you can assume we won't be using your piece - but please submit another! Please do not send follow-up emails regarding guest posts. We simply cannot cope with the load.
Please DO NOT contact us with requests to write blog posts unrelated to children's books, or in some other way capitalise on our site.
